(June 13 News) In the 12th China International Software Expo held on June 12, domestic office software developer Redflag 2000 launched its brand new product RedOffice 4.0, which supports both the next generation of domestic document format standard UOF and international document format standard ODF, and will be available for online sale on July 1.

With the adoption of advanced office software design ideas and users' perception in consideration, the developers of RedOffice 4.0 made its work area more simple and convenient and the graphic interactive interface more user-friendly. In full light of local users' habits, some Chinese elements were added into the design of the innovative Office definition pattern, which makes it much easier for use, greatly lowers the difficulty in learning, and is actually a kind of emphasis on dealing with office work in the Chinese way.

RedOffice 4.0 is the first cross-platform office software (Windows and Linux), including six components: text, table, slide, draft, formula and database. Its document format supports both the next generation of domestic document format standard UOF and international document format standard ODF. In addition, it's compatible to many other formats such as Microsoft Office documents, HTML, XML, RTF, TXT, JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF, XPM and Macromedia Flash (SWF). It's also able to output high-quality PDF format.

This product will appear on the market on July 1, and users can either download authorization from the official website or acquire authorization from the company's OEM cooperation partners. According to Hu Caiyong, General Manager of Redflag 2000, RedOffice 4.0 will be priced at RMB600 per set for company users, and RMB10 per person per year for individual users.

The company also reveals that it is developing RedOffice 4.0 that can be used for mobile office, cell phone office and online office. Redflag 2000 has already exhibited its products under the platform of MID and Linux, which are estimated to go on the market very soon. By then, RedOffice 4.0 will have covered a number of work platforms.
